The cottages are within a mile of the coast of Cardigan Bay (nearest beach is 2 miles by car, or you can walk to the coast along the many pretty lanes and pathways). The seaside village of Llangrannog awaits you, nestled in the narrow valley where the river Hawen makes its rapid way into Cardigan Bay. Here there are quaint streets, beachfront café’s, cosy pubs and sandy beaches. Dolgoy is also very close by is the village of Cwmtydu, with its tranquil cove once a haven for smugglers. In late summer you may see Atlantic Grey seals with their pups in amongst the rocks and dolphins frequently seen from the shores around New Quay.
There are the beautiful harbour town of Aberaeron and Aberystwyth, Devils Bridge waterfalls and Bwlch Nant Y Arian red kite centre to the north along a scenic coastal road. Inland we have castles, gardens, The National Botanic Gardens, market towns and National trust properties and to the south, many coastal coves (Mwnt with its picturesque church, Poppet with is long sandy beach), market towns and the beautiful Preselli Hills. There is an abundance of places to explore, a wealth of local produce and a warm welcome.
Whatever the weather, there is something to do from walking to exploring or simply relaxing at Dolgoy. There are sunsets and sunrises to capture or simply dark starry skies to watch in wonder.
